These terms are the agreement between you and snipmat for using snipmat.com — the web editor, batch processing, the developer API, and the MCP server (together, "the service"). By using the service you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
snipmat removes backgrounds from images you provide and returns the processed result. Some features work without an account; others (batch, API keys, paid plans) require a free account with a verified email.
Keep your email accurate and your credentials and API keys secret — activity under your account is your responsibility. You must be at least 13 years old (or the higher minimum your country requires) to use the service. You can delete your account yourself at any time in Settings; deletion removes your images, API keys, and connected apps, and cancels any active subscription.
You keep every right to the images you upload and the results you download. You give snipmat only the narrow license needed to operate: storing and processing your images to produce results, show your history, and serve your downloads. We do not use your images to train models, and we do not sell or share them. Only upload images you have the right to use.
Images are deleted automatically: 7 days after processing for anonymous use, 30 days for free accounts, and 90 days for Pro. Deleting an image or your account removes it sooner.
Don't use the service to process unlawful content, content that sexually exploits minors, or content you have no rights to. Don't probe, overload, or disrupt the service, evade rate limits or quotas, share or resell API keys, or misrepresent snipmat's output as another service's. We may throttle, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
The free tier's limits are described on the pricing page and may be adjusted with notice. Pro is a subscription billed through Stripe that renews automatically until you cancel; cancel any time from Settings → Billing, and Pro stays active until the end of the period you've paid for. Credit packs are one-time purchases that never expire. If an API call fails, its credit is refunded automatically.
Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable — but if something went wrong on our side, contact us and we'll make it right. Prices can change; changes to a subscription price take effect at your next renewal, with notice beforehand.
API keys and OAuth connections are for your own applications and workflows. Rate limits apply per key and are documented in the API docs. You can revoke keys and connected apps at any time in Settings.
The service is provided as-is, without an uptime guarantee. We work to keep it fast and reliable, but we may change, suspend, or discontinue features — with reasonable notice for anything that materially affects paid plans.
The service — its software, design, and the snipmat name — belongs to snipmat. If you send feedback or suggestions, we can use them without obligation.
To the maximum extent the law allows: the service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied; snipmat is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages; and snipmat's total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
You can stop using the service or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (your image rights, payment terms, liability limits) survive termination.
When these terms change, we'll update this page and its effective date, and give notice of material changes — by email for account holders. Using the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
